Has anyone else realized Diddy’s shirt has stars on his nipples?

Other than talking about Jungle Beat, anyone else getting Donkey Kong Country Tropical Freeze this Friday? I’d love to buy it but I might have to wait a little bit. I’ve played it at Comic Con and it’s really ape. 

Also, why am I still impressed with the game’s graphics. Ok, they do show some problems especially on my HD TV (Some textures look gross on a better TV). But damn, they actually gave DK some pretty solid fur/hair to him. This was like 2005 also so that is pretty impressive. 

I just love how in other DK games for the bosses you just usually jump on enemies or worry about projectiles. But in DK Jungle Beat, Donkey Kong just goes in and wrecks shit with his fists. I love the bird bosses in this game. DK looks so dumb but cool when he pecks the egg.

I can’t believe it. Today I was browsing my local comic book/gaming store and I stumbled across a copy of Donkey Kong Jungle Beat and the DK Bongos for 26 bucks. I was so happy to find this game once again and bought it in a heartbeat. I used to play the game all the time but I sold it when I was a dumb 13 year old trying to afford an Xbox 360 (I got one because I thought Rare would make cool stuff. Look how wrong I was). I’m so happy to have found a copy of it. It’s one of my favorite Donkey Kong Games and a really underrated gem for the Gamecube. The bongos are still loud and squeaky though and I’m sure to annoy someone with them but it’s great to have this game back. If you haven’t played JungleBeat, I really recommend it. Try to find a Gamecube version and bongos. It ain’t no fun without the bongos (I tried to emulate this game and had no fun using a 360 controller). I ooh every time I beat a level now.
