Metal-head Donkey Kong
Released: Sep. 28, 2015 Type: Fighter (DK) Game: Donkey Kong Country (TV Series)
What can I say? I was bored. This is by far the dumbest thing I have made to date, and despite it being mostly a joke, I still put as much effort into as my other model projects. If you’re not familiar with this metal monstrosity, you should watch this video.
Unlike my usual stuff, this model was made specifically for the purpose of being a Brawl hack, and the proportions were made to fit Brawl-DK’s bone structure rather than human-like proportions seen in the TV show. I tried to stick to the show design as close as I could, including the unrealistic shoulder joints and gratuitous clipping. The hands and feet were taken directly from the Brawl model to ensure that they work perfectly. The entire model was finished in a single day, though the textures were finished over several weeks. Before anyone points it out, I omitted the on/off switch on purpose, since it is only seen when Cranky Kong first activates the robot.
